the food and education made me sad.
I have always been fascinated by these ‘world of 100 people’ things, I remember spending hours thinking through the ones on a poster at church when I was 9 or so. It really, really makes some really important stuff so blindingly clear, in numbers we can understand. And it should, I hope it does, inspire us to act.

goddamn kids these days with their catching who and doctor fire
The thing I liked about The Day of the Doctor is that it felt like the finale of New Who.
New Who is over. The Time War story is done - it never needs to be mentioned again and the Doctor has no guilt about it (11 looks so HAPPY at the end).
And now Moffat has filled in the gap between Classic and New. So now the 8 year New Who arc has finished and now we are back to just “Doctor Who”. One show, 50 years old. No old and new - just one.
Fun fact: Australia is actually over 9000 degrees right now.
